UPPA TechInstrument Service Centre
The University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) created the UPPA Tech Instrumental Services Centre on January 1st, 2018.
UPPA Tech brings together all the experimental power available within the UPPA research laboratories. UPPA Tech offers a range of high level scientific and technical services to meet the needs of economic (R&D) and academic research actors at local, national and international levels.
Coordinated by Jean Paillol since February 2023, UPPA Tech provides access to cutting-edge equipment and expertise (with its autonomous technical platforms) via collaboration, service provision and training contracts.
Technical platforms from the nanometer to the kilometer
18 specialized platforms make up UPPA Tech's service offer. They cover a wide range of skills and analyses in different fields of activity related to Energy and Environment, but also Food, Pharmaceuticals and Materials. Experimental tools at the cutting edge of innovation allow the characterization of matter in all its forms, on a scale ranging from the nanometer to the kilometer.
Equipped with its own governance to facilitate access to skills and expertise, UPPA Tech aims to be a tool at the service of innovation and territorial development in line with UPPA's research policy.
UPPA Tech is part of the deployment of the actions of the I-SITE University of Excellence label via the Energy & Environment E2S project.
ISO 9001 Certification
UPPA Tech received the quality management certification IS0 9001:2015 in August 2021.
